Malapit lang ang bahay namin sa Oval Plaza, where the incident happened. We were celebrating Christmas Eve around 11 in the evening, December 24. After the family bonding, we decided to go out to see the fireworks. Sabi ko pa na matumal ngayon ang pyro, lahat nagpapaputok ng twitis. Lahat ng mga kapitbahay namin nagpapaputok. Lahat meron sila, eh kami wala nga kasi mapanganib ang magpaputok. Eh, bumalik nalang kami sa loob.

I'm not expexting na that time is the worst night. All people in streets were running to see the pyro on the other side of the horizon (Oval Plaza) pero mas lalong lumala ang pagsabog and my mom could feel the earth-shaking movement na parang lumilindol due to big explosions. Mas lalong dumami ang tao nang biglang kumapal ang usok galing sa Oval Plaza. Nakisilip na din ako. I can see the smoke, very big smoke and also the pyro.
Eto na, ang hindi inaasahan, may nangyari nga sa Oval Plaza. The incident made me nervous a lot. Tumakbo ako, akala ko madamay na ang bahay namin sa sunog. Kasi na-aalala ko ang nangyari sa Pasay and Makati. Oh no, hindi ako mapakali. Nanood lang ang mga tao habang ako'y naka-online kaagad sa Facebook and Plurk to spread the breaking news.
Pinilit naming pumunta sa lugar, with my sister, to cover it. I'm with my kuya and we went to Oval. I saw many people sitting on the street side, very nervous, crying and shaking. Natrauma sila sa nangyari kasi before the incident, maraming mga tao ang nasa Oval to celebrate Christmas. Madami ring taong nanood sa lugar. Firecracker and Pyro stalls ang nasunog, sa Pendatun Avenue, fire out na nung pumunta kami at nag-iimbestiga ang mga bombero at pulis kung anong sanhi ng pagsunog.

I don't have any idea about the exact number of casualities but according to Umagang Kay Ganda, early this morning, 3 ang namatay, 2 ang sugatan. Nadamay ang mga establishments na malapit sa mga stalls. Worth 1.5M Pesos ang na-apula ng apoy, mostly pyros and firecrackers.
You know what guys, this is a lesson for us that we should not use this kind of materials for Christmas and New Year. It may cause damage from properties and even your life. Christmas is not all about firecrackers or drinking alcoholic stuffs and you'll out of your mind and going crazy there, it's all about family bonding and celebrating the birth of Christ. ^^

a friend invited me to oval plaza kagabi.but i refused kasi last year of the same date(or was that the other year?)may bombing na nagyari.ngayon sunog naman.ano ba yan?its just sad to note...
@ kuya tanchi: yep yep. kainis talaga. hmmp. sana hndi niya nalang gitry. prrf.
@ sir lito: nagkataon. grabeh po nuh. pumunta kami sa site sunog lahat. ang tent, lahat ng mga pulbura and papers nakakalat. baka next year ibang tragedy na naman.
