Region 12's 2nd Investment Conference is on!

Region 12 is one of the most promising regions for investments. With its abundant natural resources; existence of facilities like seaports, road network, airport, fishport and eco-tourism amenities; and the pro-active participation of non-government organizations (NGOs), national government units (LGUs), who could go wrong in investing in SOCCSKSARGEN?

DTI-NERBAC 12 is inviting you to attend the 2nd Region 12 Investment Conference this coming October 6-8 2010 at Family Country Hotel and Convention Center, General Santos City. This R12 Icon is a sequel to the well-attended first R12 Icon held at Paseo del Sol Restaurant last year.

2010's R12 Icon features investment opportunities on Tourism, Resource Based Products, Alternative Energy Sources, ICT and Creative Industry. It is composed of an investment conference, business matching, investment exhibit and company visit.

On October 6, the plenary session in the morning serves as the venue for the presentation of investment opportunities and market prospects on featured products/services namely: moringa, rubber, cassava, coffee, milkfish, coconut, bamboo, ICT/BPO (non-voice), tourism (hotel and resorts), and creative industry (non-BPO IT enabled services). Some personalities and well-known entrepreneurs will present their investment opportunities and market potentials like ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc. and CCP President Dr. Eduardo Morato, Camarines Sur Governor Luis Ray Villafuerte, Philippine Rubber Industries Association President Mr. Pablito Chua, and among others. The break-out session/business matching in the afternoon covers discussions on production technology and financing. The resource speakers, Chief, Creative Industries Division of CITEM Mr. James Rodney Romana, Agriculturist of DA-CEMIARC Mr. Jessie Lumbao, Assistant Secretary for Tourism Regulation, Coordination and Resource Generation Atty. Cruz of DTI-Regional Operations and Development Group will give her Keynote Address on Industry Clustering as Strategic Tool for Regional Development. On the other hand, ARD Dorecita T. Delima will present her SMILE Program to the participants who owns MSME's or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
