Travel Advisory issued by Hong Kong Gov't vs. RP

After the tragic hostage taking last August 23 in Luneta, Manila, the Hong Kong Government's Security Bureau issued and released a travel advisory that tells Philippines is under Severe Threat to all HK Travellers as you can see in this website.

This is according to Hong Kong Security Bureau's Site stating Philippines is under Severe Threat and it tells that HK citizens are warned to avoid the country.


According to ABS-CBN News, the hostage drama took 9 hours, it was started at 10AM when Rolando Mendoza, a disgruntled ex-policeman, took hostage a bus load of Hong Kong tourists.

There are at least four people confirmed dead, including Mendoza, and one in critical condition. The four survivors are still in the hospital. According to the doctor, they are in severe trauma and somewhat unconscious.

PiNoy will hold a Press Conference in MalacaƱang Palace after the siege.
